Andrew Knowles-Brown found guilty of welfare offences

It is with great regret that we acknowledge that a past Vice-Chair of Hawk Board, Andrew Knowles-Brown, has been has been found guilty of welfare offences relating to ~90 eagles in Scotland by Lanark Sheriffs Court on 14th October 2924.

Mr Knowles-Brown resigned from Hawk Board immediately after being charged of the offences in 2019.

Hawk Board were unaware of the conditions that the eagles were being held in at the premises and Mr Knowles-Brown would not have held a position in Hawk Board had we been made aware.

Hawk Board deplores poor welfare in any raptor and has done much since its inception to educate raptor keepers on good practice and welfare, with the advice of specialist vets and raptor experts.
